Alexandra’s Boutique moves

from Division Street to Main Street

When the opportunity came to move her fashion boutique from Division Street to 85 West Main Street, Alexandra DiNardi didn’t hesitate.

“More traffic, more space,” she explains.

The owner said she expects to reopen at her new location by the end of March or early April. The refurbished space, where MacArthur’s Appliances had been located, will offer more than three times the space than her present location at 28 Division Street..

Alexandra’s on Division, which carries an eclectic mix of fashion, jewelry and bags, will reopen as Alexandra’s Boutique with a more extensive selection, and more high end merchandise, according to the owner.

She characterizes her selection as  “urban, modern, contemporary and a little bit funky,” suitable for the office or dinner party. Open less than one year, DiNardi said she’s developed a following of loyal, repeat customers.

“We carry a little bit of everything,” she explained, “from business casual to transitional clothing to evening wear and styles for special occasions,” she explained.

A borough resident, DiNardi majored in Entrepreneurship at the University of Miami and took fashion design courses at Parsons and styling courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

“I’ve always been into fashion because of my mom,” she explains. Her mother, Debra Barber will continue to work alongside her daughter at the new location.

They plan a pre-opening reception for invited guests and family prior to the grand opening.

Further information is available by calling Alexandra’s at (908) 541-1000; though the store will be moving, the phone number will remain the same
